I offer a free 15-minute consultation (video or by phone) so you can get a sense of whether we’re a good match. During this time, we can talk about what you would like to get out of therapy, my approach, and whether my style resonates with you.
Individual Therapy
At Breakaway Psychotherapy, all clinicians are experienced in many evidence-based therapy modalities, including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic principles, mindfulness practices, eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), and solution-focused therapy. We combine these and more experimental practices to tailor therapy to your unique needs. Our work is especially helpful for people experiencing anxiety, depression, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) bipolar, marital problems, pre-marital counseling, trouble with intimacy, dating challenges, and school issues.
We have a special interest in providing therapy for minority groups. That said, We believe firmly that therapy is for everyone. At Breakaway Psychotherapy, we are committed to providing respectful, sensitive, and compassionate services for all.
Couples Therapy
We all crave to be understood and accepted, especially by our partners. When we don’t feel that way in our relationships, our thoughts can spiral, doubts might arise, and communication can break down. Sometimes it feels impossible to even admit that something is wrong, let alone talk openly about how we feel and what we need.
Couples therapy is an opportunity to hit the reset button and look at a cherished bond with fresh eyes. Only with honest clarity can partners realize the behaviors, negative assumptions, and dynamics that harm their relationship; only with kindness can they work together towards meaningful change. Couples therapy provides a safe and open space where you can share with each other and really listen. Our work will help you learn tools and resources to appreciate one another’s perspectives, foster healthier communication, and ultimately build a more fulfilling relationship.

Family Therapy
For many, family is a happy place where they create wonderful memories; however, for others, it could be a place of pain, hurt, and suffering. Family is where everything begins. We all want a loving, warmth, and cohesive family but often we encounters unfortunate events such as death, loss of relationships, financial hardship, addiction, conflict, and children’s difficult behaviors. A family therapy offers a safe and supportive space for a family to come together where each member of the family is able to speak and be heard. It will help you build a strong and cohesive unit where respect and open communication are seamless and parent-child relationship is healthy.
